Introduction: Peekaboo Pumpkin-pumpkin Bread

here is how to make pumpkin bread with a fancy little surprise in the middle
the recipe is for pumpkin bars so it is more of a dessert bread
please pay attention to how long you cook it for forgot to time it :(

Step 1: Things You'll Need

  • Pumpkin bread
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup canola oil
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 – 15oz can of pumpkin
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ginger
  • ½ teaspoon cloves
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • Cream Cheese Frosting
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon almond extract
  • 1 tablespoon milk

Step 2: Preheat Oven to 350 Degrees F

Step 3: Mix Eggs, Oil, Sugar and Pumpkin in a Large Bowl.

Step 4: Sift Remaining Ingredients Together

Step 5: Add to the Pumpkin Mixture and Mix Well

Step 6: Pour Into Greased Bread Pan


Step 7: Bake Until Done, Keep Close Eye on It!!

Step 8: In a Large Bowl, Beat Together the Butter and Cream Cheese With an Electric Mixer.

Step 9: With the Mixer on Low Speed, Add the Powdered Sugar a Cup at a Time Until Smooth and Creamy.

Step 10: Beat in the Vanilla Extract

Step 11: Once Bread Is Done Let Cool

Step 12: Slice Bread and Use a Pumpkin Shaped Cookie Cutter to Cut Out a Pumpkin From Each Slice

Step 13: Place Pumpkin Shapes Into the Middle of a Greased Bread Pan

Step 14: Mix Up More Pumpkin Bread According to Directions Give at the Beginning

Step 15: Pour Mixture Over Your Pumpkin Bread Cutouts in the Pan, Making Sure to Cover the Tops of the Pumpkins. You May Have More Batter Than You Need. Try Not to Overfill the Pan.

Step 16: Bake Until Done, Keeping a Close Eye on It

you can use this time to eat what was left from cutting out the pumpkins =)

Step 17: Remove From Pan and Add Cream Cheese Frosting

Step 18: And Now Enjoy!!!
