Introduction: 3d Scan Using Google Camera
This is not a complete 3d scan.. only a partial.. one sided scan..
more accurately a base relief extrusion.
In brief: the Google Camera has a mode called "blur mode" this mode actually scans the subject and records a Depth Map. the camera app can be installed via - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.... (its the nexus' camera)
my method (in the video) is the more hands on approach where you learn how to do it in Blender.
