Introduction: Accessible Mascara

Here is a simple and easy way to recreate your makeup so it is easy to use for all.

Step 1: Get All You Materials

You will need the following materials:

  • Hot glue gun
  • Scissors
  • An old or new ring and/or circular earring that is easily mendable with hands
  • Mascara (or any makeup where you have to twist to open)
  • Decorative tape (optional)

Step 2: Glue the Ring Onto the Top of Mascara

Make sure to turn the hot glue gun on so that it is ready to go. Add glue to the flat side of the ring. If you do not have a flat side to your ring, use your thumb and pointer finger to mend it so that a part of it is flat. This will help the ring stay in place.

Step 3: Glue, Glue, Glue

Make sure the ring is glued all around the top of the cap for the mascara. Don't worry too much about getting messy, thats what the decorative tape is for. Make sure the glue dries up and the ring is sturdy on the cap of the mascara.

Step 4: Take Another Ring or Earring and Glue

You can just use another ring to do this part. However, here is how you can use an earring instead. Open the earring and bend the part that is meant to go into the earring piercing towards the inside of the earring.

Step 5: Bend the Hook of Earring

Now take the hook part of the earring, twist it and make it so that it is flat enough to be glued on.

Step 6: Glue on Earring to the Body of Mascara

Just like gluing on the ring previously, do the same and glue the earring onto the body of the mascara. This should make the second hole.

Step 7: Decorate

You can use decorative tape, stickers, rhinestones, etc. to make your accessible mascara more appealing. The tape is a great way to hide the glue.

Step 8: Final Touches

Make sure all the glue is covered and your mascara is customized to your liking. Use your fingers to see if it's easier to open. Not so much force is needed. Enjoy!
