Its for book lovers. Who are always immersed in reading something. They do not loose any opportunity to read somethings. Whenever they find time in between meetings, during waiting at reception or travelling they do not miss opportunity to read.

The product which is designed in this instructable is for book readers who are fond of reading during travel. When book pages are getting turned due to air, readers need something to hold. How to do that? this is the the starting point of this instructable. The adjustable book holder controlled by thumb will be helping to hold the pages & avoid to getting turned due to air. As per the requirement of user one can increase or decrease size of book holder by loosening screw or tightening screw

Supplies

  2. 3D Printer
  3. 3D printer filament
  4. Screws/nails
  5. Book or Magazine

Step 1: Making Ring of OD29 & ID 25mm

  1. Drag a cylinder on Workplane from Basic Shapes.
  2. Change cylinder size to 29x29x5.
  3. Drag Hollow Cylinder on workplane.
  4. Change Size to 25x25x6
  5. Drag hollow cylinder into solid & allign.
  6. Group it.


Step 2: Cutting Ring to Two Semicircles

  1. Drag a hollow box. convert it into 32x20x0.1mm
  2. Drag a rectangle on a ring & align it.
  3. Increase width of a hollow rectangle to 16mm.
  4. Group it.
  5. Copy & paste.


Step 3: Making Provision for Screw/nail to Fit

  1. Turn right hand semicircle by 180.
  2. It got converted to 180 degree.
  3. Create two rods of 39x3x5 mm
  4. Create solid box of 5x5x3mm
  5. Create Hole 3mm at the canter
  6. Make 3 more copies of the holed box
  7. Make boxes of 3x2x5 mm

Step 4: Towards Final Product

  1. Attach boxes of 3x2x5 mm to semicircle piece
  2. Keep holed boxes as shown on two pieces & group it.
  3. Drawing of Book holder controlled by thumb is ready.

Step 5: Product Drawing Sliced & Ready for Print

Step 6: Book Holder in Use.

  1. Book Holder Operated By Thumb Is 3D Printed.
  2. Book holder is in use.
