Introduction: Air Blower 2.0 Using PAPER

About: I am interested in reverse engineering a thing. Also interested in beekeeping, DIY, cycling, gardening, and farming.

Welcome friends, today I will let you know how I made an air blower using paper.
You may think it is impossible to do. Let's see it.

If you don't understand my instructions in the following steps, see the video in step 6 and then read the other steps.

Supplies

  1. Paper
  2. Wood glue or paper glue
  3. DVD holder used in drive mechanism of DVD/CD player
  4. Scissor
  5. Compass and pencil
  6. high-speed DC motor

Step 1: Diagram

This is the line diagram of the blower we are going to make.

Step 2: Cut the Paper

For the impellar I cut the paper into 72 mm x 72 mm square pieces ( about 14 pieces I used, It depends upon the thickness of paper)

For the casing I used 20 square paper pieces of 110 mm x 110 mm

Step 3: GLUE the Pieces of Paper

take 10 pieces of paper which has been cut for casing and glue them together. if the paper is going to roll slightly iron it using an iron box.

Take 7 pieces of paper which has been cut for impellar and glue them together.

Step 4: Make the Impellar and Casing

Draw the layout of the volute casing and impeller in the respective pieces as per the diagram in step 2.

Cut the impeller and casing using a scissor or using a laser cutter if you have one.

Step 5: Make the Vanes

Draw lines in a paper with a gap of 20 mm. We need 8 pieces of paper as shown in the images.

After cutting draw lines with a gap of 24 mm. ( you can also draw it before cutting)

Fold it on the lines. Unfold it and apply glue. Refold it

Now we have 8 vanes.

after the glue dried we need to chamfer one edge of the vane as shown in the image, you can do it by scissor.

Step 6: Assemble All the Parts

if you want to familiarize with the assembling process beforehand, see the video

ASSEMBLY VIDEO

Glue the impeller vane and the disk as per diagram

Now glue the DVD holder and the impeller together

Glue the motor and one piece of casing.

fit the impeller to the motor.

cut another piece of paper to wrap the casing disks.

Glue it.

It's time to check it, yes it is working.

THANK YOU.
