Introduction: Arroz Con Leche ( Rice Pudding)
This is traditional dessert that is made in hispanic culture.
Step 1:
Gather these ingredients for your first step
4 cups of water
1 cup of rice
2 sticks of cinnamon
1 12 oz of evaporated milk
14 oz lechera , sugar one cup taste before adding , ground cinnamon add a sprinkle on top
3 cups of milk
Step 2:
In a saucepan over medium heat, you have to place water, rice and a cinnamon stick. Bring to a boil, cover then simmer for 15 minutes or until the rice is tender.
Step 3:
Once rice is tender stir in the milk.
Step 4:
Let the 3 cups of dairy milk boil for about 5 minutes and then remove from heat before adding the rest of the milks(lechera, condensed).
Step 5:
Now you stir in the evaporated milk.
Step 6:
Along with la lechera ( condensed milk).
Step 7:
Then you add sugar but first you might want to taste it before adding the sugar since la lechera makes the mixture sweet. Add sugar to taste.
Step 8:
Return to slight simmer and cook for additional 10-15 minutes or until most of the liquid is absorbed and rice has a pudding-like consistency.
Step 9:
Serve hot topped with a sprinkle of cinnamon (but it tastes great cold also). Enjoy!
