Introduction: Assisted Fruit Picker With Scrap

I've always problems with harvest my garden because the best fruis are so high where I can't reach them, also pulling them out is not the best way to do it.

In this Instructable, I'll show you how to create a very useful assisted fruit picker from scraps, using some old garden tools and bike parts that I have forgotten in my house.

Supplies

You'll need

Long stick (I used a bamboo one, but you can use a broomstick or anything)

Garden scissors

Bicycle brake handle

Bike brake cable

Cloth bag

Some screws

Tools:

Drill

5mm allen wrench

Step 1: Positioning

Position and fix the scissors and the brake on the stick.I used some screws to joint the parts

It is important to note that both elements must be diametrically opposite as shown in the figure

Step 2: Join Using the Bike Brake Cable

Cut the bike brake cable and insert it into the brake, then insert it through the stick by a hole previously made and pass the scissors.

Secure the cable with a fasting element.

Step 3: Prepare the Bag

Use an old cloth bag and hold it with the bike brake cable

Step 4: Attach the Bag to the Stick and Try It!

We're almost done, you must verify that the brake mechanism works and try it in a tree!
