Introduction: Banana Sheera
At my house, there is always one snack that I always go for, Banana Sheera. My aunt taught me to make it. If you have any questions about the ingredients, you can get them at the indian store. I hope you enjoy making my recipe for banana sheera!
Supplies
- ¼ cup semolina /rava
- ½ cup water
- ½ cup milk
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 tbsp clarified butter/ ghee (unsalted)
- 1 tbsp sugar (I prefer mine not too sweet)
- (optional) pinch of saffron
- (optional) 1 clove of powdered cardamom
- Tools
- Spoon
- Small pot for boiling
- Bigger Pot to cook
Step 1: Roast the Semolina
You should start by putting your semolina in your bigger pan on a low- medium flame for 4 minutes with a bit of clarified butter. You need to keep stirring or it will get burned and the taste will change.
Step 2: Boil the Milk and Water
You have to mix the water and milk together in the smaller pan until it boils. When it starts boiling, add it to the semolina.
Step 3: Add the Ingredients
Add the banana, sugar and clarified butter and cook on a low flame. Also add the saffron and cardamom.
Step 4: Keep It on a Low Flame
Keep it on a low flame and cook for 5 more minutes and then it is ready but you can cover it with a lid and let it cool down so your semolina puffs up.
Step 5: Enjoy!!!
Enjoy! I hope you liked this recipe!
