Introduction: Beaded/Jeweled Amber Goose Egg
A very large goose egg was used. (triple yolker!) I found the piece of jewelry used in the center at a yard sale, and tried to use complimentary colors for beading and design. Materials used are, various sized beads, rhinestone chain and rhinestones.

Are there instructions for this egg?

Did you stitch the beads together before gluing them onto the egg? I can't tell, but it appears that you made long strips of brick or gourd stitch and then glued them into place. Also, this would be a perfect application for 'hotfix' crystals. No matter what techniques you used, I am so impressed by your work. Fabulous job, and if I ever come across a goose egg shell (a rarity in Boston), I will have to keep your beautiful work in mind when I develop my own design.

The Beaded/Jeweled Amber Goose Egg is absolutely stunning. The design for this egg was well planned out, and it is intricately detailed with colors that coordinate beautifully. In addition to this the opening locket is the perfect place to keep a treasure photo. This would be a perfect, unusual gift, which could become a family heirloom!

Thanks so much treadmill. I really appreciate your kind comments on my egg. Yes, I think a special photo would go very nicely in the locket.

Beautiful! And I've never seen a triple-yolker - finding one must be lucky. ;)

Thanks canida, I found a 4 yolk goose egg once! It was huge! Hope I'm replying correctly as I'm new to this site and how it all works.

You got it right. ;)
Wow, 4 yolks! I've never seen more than a double, but I mostly see chicken eggs. Maybe ducks have more multiples, or maybe you've just used lots of eggs.
