Introduction: Belt Sander Tie-down

Since I am limited on space, I have to try and be as compact as I can. That means I don't have room for a bench top sander. I still need to be able to sand small parts so the easiest and safest way I could come up with was to tie down my hand held sander. We call the strap mule tape because of its strength but it is just basically 3/4" wide woven nylon or polyester, kind of like huge shoe laces. I set my sander upside down near my bench vise and screwed the belt down over both handles. I lock my shop vac in the vise to suck up some of the dust created and everything stays where I want it
