Introduction: Berry Traditional Smoothie

To me, this recipe has the taste and fluidity of a traditional smoothie. It is cold but fluid, sweet but healthy, and an awesome treat on a hot and humid day! It is best when made with fresh fruits that are frozen overnight and then used, but that's just my own preference. Also both strawberries and blueberries are full of antioxidants, which is always a plus. Enjoy!  :)

Ingredients:

Things to be frozen:
1 cup of canned or fresh pineapple
1/2 cup of fresh blueberries
1/2 of a banana
1/2 cup of strawberries

Things not to be frozen:
1 cup of pineapple juice
1 cup of orange juice

If you want to replace some of the ingredients just make sure that you have about 2.5 parts solid for every 2 part liquids. So once you have gathered your preferred ingredients, freeze the solids and refrigerate the liquids. Make sure that the solids do not freeze as one big chunk. (I tried to separate each fruit from each other before putting it in the freezer overnight) When the solids are frozen, then put all of the ingredients in a blender and pulse until nice and fluid with no chunkies.

***Suggestions:
Drink with a straw, the larger the straw the easier it is to suck up even the thickest smoothie!
Top off with whipped cream or some fruit stuck on the side.
