Introduction: Bulletin Board World Map

This map can be used as decoration or as a nice way to mark where in the world you have been! The continents are laminated and pinned to the bulletin board.

Supplies

To make this map, you need:

  • Bulletin board (Or anything to attach you maps to)
  • Outline of each continent
  • 7 different maps
  • Tacks (If you are using a bulletin board, otherwise tape or glue)
  • Laminating sticker sheets
  • Scissors
  • Pencil

Step 1: Cut Out 7 Maps

Find or make the 7 maps you want and cut them to about the size of printer paper.

Step 2: Cut Out Continents

Now you need to find and cut out all 7 continents and find a map that fits their size.

Step 3: Trace and Cut Your Continents

To do this you lay your continent down on the BACK of the map (this makes it easier to see you lines) but also make sure you didn't flip your continent too, that will cause your map to be backwards. After you have traced an outline, you cut all the way around it as exactly as you can.

Step 4: Laminate

For this step you might need 2 pairs of hands, it helps to make sure you don't get any bubbles in the middle. To do this you need to cut out 2 squares for each continent. When all of your squares are cut out chose a continent to start with, lay down one of your squares and peel the back off. Then set your paper in the middle and don't mess up because it will cause you to have to start over. Lastly cut around your continent to get rid of any excess plastic.

Step 5: Attach to Bulletin Board

To start this step, you need to lay your continents out how you want them to look. Then you pin them down and you are done!
