Introduction: CELERY ROSES

About: I am an artist living and teaching ART in NYC for over 30 years, and I am a CZT, Certified Zentangle Teacher. I love to explore all sorts of art making both in my teaching and in my own work...check out my sit…

Before you toss that useless end of the celery in the compost bin, why not try turning it into ART.

Step 1: Supplies

All you need is the end of the celery, cut about 2" off the head of the stalks before you pull them off.

a brush and paper

Step 2: Print the Rose

Paint the celery and turn it over on your paper to make a print.

Step 3: Finishing Touches

After you have printed as many roses as you like. Paint the stems and leaves.

Have fun...

Oh and if you don't have celery this process works with romaine lettuce or bok choy.

Wow.... Just saw this one while looking for a project for tomorrow. This home quarantining is giving me time to have fun with some of these projects. I love this one. Looks like something I can pull off and I definitely have the supplies in my house.... The finished product is beautiful !!!
