Introduction: CHOCOLATE DIVINE SPHERES (base As Burfi)

Barfi, barfee, or burfi is a dense milk based sweet confectionery from South Asia, a type of mithai. Originally from India, the name is a derivative of the Persian word barf, which means snow. The main ingredients of plain barfis include condensed milk and sugar. The ingredients are cooked in a vessel until the mixture solidifies.

Chocolate Burfi is a very easy burfi that even beginners can try, it just melts in your mouth, so soft and textured that I loved it instantly.

It is a very easy and tasty Indian dessert . It can be eaten warm or cold .

Its a chocolaty with dried fruits ,strawberry sauce and white chocolate..

COOKING TIME 45 MINS

EATING TIME 1MINUTE ... :D

Step 1: The Chocolate Layer

For this layer you need as follows:-

1/2 cup - Milk Powder

or

1/2 cup - Plain Flour {one used for baking}

1 tbsp - Cocoa powder (high quality, the better)

1/3 cup - Sugar

1/4 cup - Water

Ghee or Butter (melted)

GREASED GHEE PLATE (COMMON)

METHOD

Mix milk powder and cocoa powder together, whisk it well so that it gets mixed evenly.In a pan - add sugar and water, stir well so that sugar completely dissolves.
Let the syrup boil till the syrup reaches single string consistency....when you take the syrup between your fingers it should form a thin single string as shown that is the correct stage.It will be hot so be very careful.Now add milk powder cocoa mixture and mix well, keep mixing...in few seconds it will become thick but still in flowing consistency...this is the correct stage.Add ghee,give a quick mix and switch off.

Transfer the mixture to a ghee greased plate, level it with a back of a spoon of greased ziplock for a smoother finish

on top.

Step 2: White Chocolate Layer

For this layer you need :-

1/2 cup - White Chocolate

1/4 cup - Milk

3 tbsp of Plain flour or Milk powder

1 - 2 strings of Saffron(OPTIONAL)

Orange Zest (OPTIONAL)
GREASED GHEE PLATE (COMMON)

METHOD

Put up a saucepan in a stove. Put it in low flame so the chocolate does'nt burn.

Mix the white chocolate ,milk , and the flour .

Whisk it ,so there is no lumps.

Let it simmer for 1 minute. Put in the vanilla and rest of the ingredients.

Let it again simmer for 1 to 2 minutes.

LET IT BE SLIGHTLY WARM AND KEEP IT ASIDE .(NEEDED FOR NEXT PROCESS)

Step 3: SANDWICHING!!!

This is the most easiest process. For this you need :

Nutella (Generous and lump sum amount)

The Chocolate Layer

White Chocolate layer

GHEE GREASED PLATE

METHOD

First put the Chocolate layer in the greased plate.()

Let it cool and harden ()

Then apply a thick layer of Nutella using a spatulla.

Let it rest for 3 to 5 minutes.

Then pour in the white chocolate layer.

After this process refrigerate for 1 to 2 hrs for excellent result ...

(NOTE - IN EACH PROCESS SPREAD THE MIXTURE EVENLY & AND TAP IT SO THAT THE AIR CAN ESCAPE.)

Step 4: SAUCE

CHOCOLATE FONDUE

FOR THIS YOU NEED:

Dark chocolate 200 gms

milk 1/2 cup

Nutella 3 tbsp

cocoa powder 3 tbsp

sugar as per taste

METHOD

Put up a sauce pan . Add all the ingredients. Stir till liquid . add nutella at last and mix well.

LITCHI SAUCE

FOR THIS YOU NEED:

Litchi Juice 1/4 CUP

1/2 cup Sugar

1/2 cup Water

METHOD

First put the sugar and the water .

In the stage one of caramelization , add the dried strawberry.

Let it simmer until it comes in to a thread like formation or jam like formation...

Step 5: Garnishing...

"Let Virtue Garnish Your Thoughts" The same way garnish your burfi's ..

Before we start , cut the burfi in square ,diamond,circle or any shape you prefer using knife or cookie cutter .

(I PREFER A QUADRILATERAL SHAPED USING A KNIFE.)

GARNISH

THE SANWICHED BURFI

Hershey's syrup

Almonds OR Cashews

chocolate syrup and litchi syrup

grated sponge cake 100 gms

METHOD

DIVIDE the burfee by cutting or rolling it equally.

Make equal balls and spread in your hands and put a nut. Again make up a sphere. Do this to all of them.

Dip the burfi into the chocolate sauce and then to the grated cake . Do this again to all pieces.

Refrigerate for 1 hour max.

ASSEMBLE THEM AND PUT ON SOME MORE SAUCE INCLUDING CHOCOLATE AND LITCHI .

Step 6: ENJOY,EAT & ENJOY !!!

The confection is served in India, all year round, but especially consumed during the holiday seasons, wedding ceremonies, and the religious festivals.[2] Barfi is served quite often at Diwali. This is the celebration of the Hindu festival of lights. The traditional Hindu cuisine is an important part of these annual festivities, along with firework displays and specially crafted decorative lamps.

It can be also used as a treat in a tea or kitty party.
