Introduction: COIN RING MACHINE

THIS PROJECT WAS CREATED TO SPEED UP MY COIN RING PRODUCTION MADE FROM SALVAGED PARTS

Step 1: THE HAMMER DRIVE

THIS WAS FROM A BROKEN 12 VOLT COMPRESSOR IT IS ATTACHED TO A PIECE OF SCRAP ROD FROM A PRINTER THAT I HAD THREADED FOR ANOTHER PROJECT

Step 2: THE SLIDE

THIS ANOTHER PRINTER PART IT AS A SOLENOID THAT I DRILLED THE BACK OUT OF IT SERVES AS A GUIDE FOR THE ROD

Step 3: FLEX POINT

THIS SPRING WAS REPLACED WITH RUBBER HOSE IT IS USED TO GIVE PLAY IN THE SYSTEM TO PREVENT BINDING

Step 4: SPINDLE MOTOR

THE END OF THIS MOTOR WAS THREADED SO THE COINS CAN BE FIRMLY ATTACHED AND ROTATES THE COIN SO IT CAN BE EVENLY HAMMERED UPON

Step 5:

COINS ARE DRILLED ON CENTER THEN BOLTED TO MACHINE THE RESULTING HAMMERING ACTION FLARES OUT THE EDGE OF THE COIN. WHEN FLARED TO YOUR LIKING REMOVE COIN DRILL OUT HOLE TO LARGER DIAMETER. FILE OR DREMEL OUT THE REMAINDER THEN FINISH WITH LIGHT SANDING AND POLISH BY HAND OR BUFFING WHEEL

Step 6: VIDEO OF RUNNING OPERATION

NOT A PERFECT MACHINE BUT IT IS A START AND IT WORKS UNTIL I CAN MAKE FURTHER IMPROVEMENTS

THE HAMMERING PROCESS TOOK ABOUT 20 MINUTES
