Castle Crashers - Necromancer's Helmet

Hey! Este es mi primer tutorial, perdonen si la calidad de imagen no es la mejor, jeje, pero traté de detallarlo todo lo mejor posible. Espero les guste!

Hey! This is my first tutorial, pardon if the image quality isn't the best, hehe, but I did my best to make the steps very easy to follow. Enjoy!

Supplies

ESENCIAL:
1.- 3 láminas de 32cm x 32cm de cartón.
2.- 1 Cartulina Escolar de 60cm ancho, 1 metro largo. (Así en caso de necesitarlo, tendrían reserva)
3.- Pistola de Silicón + Media barra de silicón
4.- Lapiz, Regla y Tijera
5.- 1 metro de alambre (Ganchos de ropa sirven perfectamente)
6.- Cinta adhesiva.
OPCIONAL:
1.- Engrapadora
2.- Rodillo o objeto sólido en forma de cilindro

ESSENTIALS:
1.- 3 cardboard (From boxes) sheets, 32 centimeters for width and height.
2.- 1 cardboard sheet (Thin Cardboard), 60cm width and 1meter height.
3.- Silicone gun + half silicone bar
4.- Pencil, Ruler and Scissors
5.- 3ft wire. (If you have clothespin, use it)
6.- Adhesive Tape.
OPTIONAL:
1.- Stapler
2.- Roller or a solid object with cylinder shape.

Step 1: Base Del Casco // Helmet Base

Encuentren el centro del primer cartón 32x32

Find the center of the first 32x32 cardboard sheet

Step 2:

Hora de hacer unos trazos, tomen guía de las imágenes, me encargué de anotar cada cosa, incluso medidas.

Time to make some traces, take guide from the images, I managed to write and identify every little thing, even measurements.

Step 3:

Usen un plato viejo o objeto con forma de círculo que tenga la misma altura de su rostro y su circunferencia sea perfecta. Luego marquen distancias entre la forma circular en el centro y los trazos anteriormente hecho, al final, corten el centro.

Use an old dish or something circular, it's important that it haves the same (or relatively) height as your head, better if it's circumference is perfect. After you do that, mark distances from the circular shape in the center, and the traces did before, finally, cut the center result.

Step 4:

Debería verse así al cortar el centro y las dos esquinas marcadas en la parte inferior.

It should look like this after cutting the center and the two corners in the bottom.

Step 5:

Usen el rodillo o el objeto en forma de cilindro y curveen la base del casco.

Use the roller or the cylinder shaped object and curve the helmet's base.

Step 6:

Tracen una linea en los lados tanto dejando 8cm arriba como abajo, así darán un aprox de donde debería quedar la tapa del casco.

Trace a line in the sides, leave 8cm in the upper and bottom sides of the sheet. That will give you an approximation of where will be located the helmet face plate.

Step 7: Tapa Del Casco // Helmet Face Plate

Hagan 2 veces esta forma en la otra lámina, debería ser alto 24cm en la parte larga, y en la corta 8 cm, para hacer esas inclinaciones, solo tomen las puntas de la parte larga, y trazen 8cm en inclinación.

Make 2 times this shape in another 32x32 cardboard sheet. It should be 24cm in the long side, and in the short one 8cm, to make that inclination, just take the two edges of the long side and make a 8cm inclination, then cut.

Step 8:

Ahora guíense de esta medida, es algo confusa pero es como se debe ver, si no entienden, tomen guía del retrato del personaje, les dará una idea de como debe quedar, aquí es más medidas que ingenio...

Now, take guide from those measurements, it's confuding but it's how it should be looking. If you don't understand, take guide from the Necromancer's Portrait, It'll give you some ideas, here is more measurements than creativity...

Step 9:

Hora de cortar! Después de hacerlo, usen silicón caliente o cinta adhesiva (Más recomendable el silicón), y luego usen sus manos para curvear un poco, no mucho. Luego con la cartulina, pueden pegar trozos para hacer profundidad en la tapa.

TIME TO CUT! After you do it, use the silicone gun or adhesive tape (Better if you use silicone), then use your hands to curve a little the face plate. With the thin cardboard, you can glue pieces in the inside part of the face plate, that will make some depth and at the same time, covering it.

Step 10: Forma Del Casco // Helmet Shape

Con la tercera lámina o el sobrante de la segunda, corten 3 tiras de igual largo y ancho. Hagan puntos de marcado o usan las líneas anteriormente marcadas en el principio. Engrapen si tienen, si no, peguen la primera tira.

With the third sheet, or the remnants of the second, cut 3 strips of equal width and length. Make some marks or use the lines did long before. If you have Stapler, use it, if not, use glue/tape/silicone with the first strip.

Step 11:

Hora de usar la cartulina, tomen guía de las imágenes. No tengo medidas para la cartulina, ya esto fue probando mientras medía mi cabeza para evitar gastar material. ASEGURENSE DE QUE NO QUEDE MUY PEQUEÑO POR DENTRO, EL PAPEL MACHÉ PUEDE ENCOGER POR DENTRO EL CASCO Y NO LES QUEDARÁ DESPUES.

Time to use the Thin Cardboard, take guide from the images. I have not measurements for this, just make your owns using your head, try to don't waste so much material. MAKE SURE TO NOT MAKE THE HELMET SO , THE PAPER MACHE CAN SHRINK AND MAKE IT VERY THIGH AND UNCOMFORTABLE TO USE, OR EVEN YOU CAN HAVE A HELMET THAT YOU CAN'T USE.

Step 12:

Con una tira de cartulina, agreguenla en este espacio que dejamos, y ajustenla para hacer un límite para la cabeza y que esta les quede.

With a strip of thin cardboard, add it in this space we left, adjust it to make a limit for our head, and then we will be cappable of using it perfectly.

Step 13:

Debería verse así.

Step 14: Cuernos // Horns

Hora de usar los alambres/ganchos de ropa, pueden estirarlos hasta quedar totalmente moldeables, y hagan una forma de cuerno como en la imagen, aqui son libres de jugar de como quieren que quede.

Time to use the wires/clothespin. Stretch them until they are totally moldable, make the horn shape like the image, you're free to play with how you want the horns.

Step 15:

No les parece que el casco tiene demasiada forma de cilindro? Si les parece, remuevan un poco de la parte superior, dependiendo del tamaño del casco. Luego usen el casco para trazar el techo del casco, jeje, también hagan dos puntos de cada lado en la forma más igualitaria posible.

You don't think the helmet looks a lot to a Cylinder? Well, if you want can remove a little from the upper side, depending on your helmet's size. Then use the helmet to trace the helmet's roof, hehe, after that, make 2 marks in each side of it, the most equally you can.

Step 16:

Recuerdan los dos puntos de la parte anterior? Bueno, abran dos agujeros mínimos allí y coloquen los alambres, pueden ajustarlos para que queden fijos o doblarlos un poco y usar cinta adhesiva, de todas maneras con el papel maché y el engrudo eso se pega, pero busquen la manera de fijarlos dentro.

Remember those two marks? Well, make two little holes there, and put the wires, adjust them until they are fixed there, use adhesive tape to make it more better, with the paper mache it will be reinforced.

Step 17:

Usen los restos de cartulina para dar la forma circular con retazos a los cuernos, usen cinta adhesiva o grapas para unirlos y luego coloquen las tiras en forma de circulo dentro de los cuernos

Use the thin cardboard and cut stripes, then use adhesive tape or staples on the stripes and put them in the horns.

Step 18:

Peguen el techo del casco con la figura anteriormente hecha.

Glue the helmet's roof with the shape did before.

Step 19:

Sigan haciendo las tiras de cartulina, Y NO PEGUEN LA TAPA DEL CASCO, ESO ES DESPUES DEL PAPEL MACHÉ. Debería verse así al final. Espero les haya gustado! Pueden pintarlo a gusto después del papel maché, el material sobrante lo pueden usar para retocar o reciclar:)
