Cinnamon Swirl Rainbow

A fun shirt for summer time!

Step 1: Supplies

Shirt

Dyes (dharma trading dyes are the best)

Soda Ash

Rubber bands

Step 2: Soak Shirt in Soda Ash and Prep Dyes

Mix 1 cup soda ash fixer with 1 gallon of water. Soak your shirt in the soda ash for 10 mins. In the meantime, mix your tie dyes according to the directions.

Step 3: Fold Shirt & Band

To make a cinnamon swirl pinch fabric where you would like the swirl to start. Twist the fabric until it is in a spiral shape like a cinnamon roll. Place a few (3-4) rubber bands around the shirt to hold it together.

Step 4: Dye the Shirt

Place the dye on the shirt in the desired areas/pattern.

Step 5: Rinse and Unfold

Let the shirt set for 24 hours, the longer the better. Then rinse with water until no more color comes out. Unfold your shirt and admire your design!
