Introduction: Computer Arm Rest

During the virus and the quarantine many people are working from home and if your on the computer a lot your hands start to cramp and it hurts when your elbow is on a wood table for a long amount of time…. That’s why I created a Computer Arm rest. My mom uses one all the time so I got inspired by her. It’s not the prettiest, but it certainly does its job. For my first instructable- I’m impressed.

Supplies

All you will need for this project is a few sheets of felt
Scissors
Some thread
A needle
Some stuffing
And a hot glue gun

Step 1: Get Materials.

Before starting the project please remember to get all the materials so you are ready to go and start the project.

Step 2: Cut an Oval

Step 1. Is get your materials, now let’s get to step 2. Get a piece of felt and cut out a very long oval just from one of the felts. Cut as long or as short as you like depending how your arms spread when you type, Then after cutting it put it off to the side.

Step 3: Cut Our a Base

Now that you have the actual cushion you need something to actually lay it on. So now we are going to use a felt as the base. Lay your oval cushion on a sheet of felt and outline it with a pen BUT give it some space off the sides and design it the way you want your base to look. After that you can cut it out.

Step 4: OPTIONAL

Now this step is totally optional but if you want you can hot glue some more felt on the base to give it like a cm of height, however some people want some extra cushion so it’s up to you.

Step 5: Sewing

Great! So now we got something that looks like a foot long sandwich! I know just stay with me. Next is the actual sewing we are going to actually put this thing together hold on to your hot glue gun your gonna need that soon. But for now your only gonna sew one of the curves. (It doesn’t matter which one.) so your gonna get your thread and start sewing. Remember STOP when you did one of the curves. When you are done knot it and we’ll move onto the next step.

Step 6: Hot Glue Gun the Sides

Get the hot glue gun again! Now what your gonna do is your going to hot glue the two sides DO NOT HOT GLUE THE SECOND OPENING. So just hot glue the two sides.

Step 7: STUFFING

Well this IS a cushion right? Stuff the stuffing inside the cushion. Put as much or as little stuffing as you like after all this is supposed to help for what hurts you when you work so if you want a lot of stuffing or just a little it’s all up to you to meet your expectations.

Step 8: Sewing the Last Side

Now all you have to do is sew the last side and you can add some more stuffing during this process if needed.

Step 9: ENJOY!

I hope you are happy with this project I’m really proud of it being my first Instructable I hope I helped someone with working from home even if I didn’t I hope someone had a good time making this craft! Thank you all so much.
