Constellation Purse

If you like astronomy and stars why not carry them with you? :)

Step 1: Materials

-Scissors
-Navy blue fabric
-black thread
-White thread
-a needle
-a zipper
-chalk

Step 2: Pattern

Draw your pattern.There is no right or wrong way to do it you can make it in any size :)

Step 3: Cut the Fabric

Draw the pattern on the fabric and cut.Don't forget to leave seam allowence!
The fabric I used was very sheer so I used a thicker fabric for the lining.If you are using a thick fabric you don't have to do that.

Step 4: Zipper

I chose to use a black zipper but white also works :) Place the zipper a bit below the fabric and sew.Then fold the fabric and sew again.Repeat this step for the other side.

Step 5: Constellation

I googled the star map and draw them on the paper then draw them on the fabic using the chalk.You don't have to draw them exactly the same.This is optional :)

Step 6: Sewing

NOTE: If you use a thicker thread.It looks better :)

First sew the main lines then sew little star shapes.Repeat it for both sides.

Step 7:

This step is optional I just didin't want the thread to show on the inside so I glued a sheer fabric over it.

Step 8: Edges

Put the right sides together and sew on the edges.Make sure that you open up the zipper.

Step 9: Last Step

So lastly place your purse vertically.You are going to sew like a triangle shape on both ends.Then cut the excess fabric.

Step 10: Done!
