Introduction: Cookies and Cream Cupcakes

In this instructable, I will show you how to make cookies and cream cupcakes.

Step 1: Ingredients

For this recipe you will need:

3 c all purpose flour

3c sugar

1 1/2 c buttermilk

1 1/2 c unsweetened cocoa powder

1 1/2 c warm water

2 tsp vanilla extract

1 1/2 tsp salt

1/2 c veg oil

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

1 tbsp baking soda

4 eggs

Step 2: In the Beginning...

First, using the electric mixer, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder and salt.

Step 3: Then..

Now add the eggs, buttermilk, water, oil and vanilla until everything is mixed together.

Step 4: Now...

Spray your cupcake pan with non-stick cooking spray, or line with cupcake liners and fill each about half-way.

Step 5: Bake!

Bake in an oven that's been preheated to 350° for about 20 minutes, or until you can stick a fork/toothpick in the center and it comes out clean.

Step 6: In the Meantime..

While your cupcakes are cooling down, you can make the frosting.

For the frosting, you will need:

1 16 oz bag of powdered sugar

13 oreos

1/8 tsp salt

1/3 c whipping cream

2 tsp vanilla

1/2 c butter, softened

Step 7: Grab the Mixer Again.

Using the electric mixer, beat the butter for a couple of minutes.

Step 8: Now..

Add a little of the powdered sugar and cream, alternating between the two until everything is mixed together.

Step 9: Almost There...

Now mix in the vanilla and salt.

Step 10: Fun Times!

Put the oreos in a ziplock bag and crush.

Step 11: Leave the Mixer Out of This..

Stir the cookies into the frosting.

Step 12: Dress It Up!

Frost the cupcakes.

You can then cut an oreo in half to place on top of each cupcake.

Step 13: Enjoy!
