Introduction: Cool USB-Drive Modification (My First Instructable)
This is a cool modification using a pack of cards, some foam, and of course a USB-drive. Although it's a bit bulky, your peers will still think that it's pretty cool.
Step 1: Gathering the Materials (easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy)
This is the easiest of the already easy project.
Materials Needed:
. Obtain an empty pack of cards. The brand doesn't matter, it's your project so choose your favorite brand. =)
. A USB-Drive...Duh.
. Any type of foam, prefferably foam that's easy to cut and lightweight, but again your choice.
. P.S- make sure that the USB-drive fits into the deck of cards.
Step 2: Cut a Hole for the USB-Drive Head to Fit Into
This step is simple, trace on the inside of the flap the head of the USB-drive. Then, using a hobby knife cut the tracing.
Step 3: Sculpting the Styrofoam
Cut the styrofoam to fit inside of the card box. Then cut a hole according to your USB-drive to fit the drive into the styrofoam. Lastly, insert the styrofoam and USB-drive into the box.
(Sorry there's no picture)
Step 4: Wrapping Things Up
We near the end of our journey. Insert the USB-drive head into the rectangular hole that you cut earlier and add a piece of double sided tape the the top and bottom flaps of the box so that it won't open up enexpectadly when you are showing it off to your friends. AND...VIOLA! We have just created our first masterpiece together. Congratulation!

Not a big gun or cards fan; however, this is cool. I just thought of this problem with custom USB covers, someone needs to come up with a way to cover the connection, from damage. Mine always breaks off and the connecting part of my USB never has gotten damaged, but there probably is good reason USB providers include connection covers.

You could cut the deck in half, and glue the cap in the other half of the deck. Meaning you will have to pull apart the whole deck to access your USB stick.
