Introduction: Crafty Coasters

Here is a simple way to make fun, cute, and crazy coasters.

Step 1: Materials

In order to make these super cute coasters you will need some supplies. You will need a laser cutter, medium draft wood, and sealant, which is not in this photo but you can pick it up from your local hardwood or craft store.

Step 2: Planning

You will need to plan what you want to print. In my opinion the best thing to do is plan the shape and size of your coasters Adobe Illustrator. MAKE SURE YOU SAVED!!

Step 3: Go to Glowforge!

Glowforge is where all the magic happens. First go to the button that says upload and then find the project that you saved and it should show up on the screen.

Step 4: Watch It Print!

It's really fun to watch the laser cutter at work. Pull up a chair and watch your work come to life.

Step 5: Seal the Wood!

Lastly you need to seal the coasters. After you have taken them out of the printer and had peeled off the sticker on top of the wood (if you have one), you need to start to paint or spray your seal. You can use many seals but I recommend mod podge. This protects your coasters from getting rings from your drinks.

Step 6: I Hope You Had Fun!!
