Introduction: DIY: Creepy Eyeball Magnets

About: I'm a hippie flower child who loves Led Zeppelin, music in general (seriously though, I'll listen to anything! <3) nature, summertime, and thunderstorms. :)

Hey, y'all! I know it's been a super long time since the last tutorial-I've just been feeling a little uninspired lately. I hope y'all are all staying safe and healthy!

I actually got the idea for this DIY last year but I didn't get it posted before Halloween for some reason. So let's get started!

Supplies

For this DIY, you'll need:

-Mod Podge

-Clear acrylic sealer

-Paint brushes

-Tacky Glue

-Magnets

-Clear nail polish

-Paperboard circles

-Bottle caps

-Paints

-Air dry clay

-Pencil

Step 1: Feelin' a Little Dry Eyed

Too much screen time! AAAAAAGH!!

*AHEM*

Grab your clay and pinch a piece off. It should be roughly half an inch across. Mold it into a disc. It should look like one of those flat backed glass stones. Make sure it fits inside your bottle cap. Set it aside and let it dry.

Step 2: Whitecappin' It Like a B.O.S.S.

Grab your bottle caps and paint them white, then let them dry and paint them black. Paint them with a layer of Mod Podge and let them dry.

Step 3: Eye Grabbin'

Have eye grabbed your attention yet? ;)

...

Gotta love terrible jokes! :D

Now grab your eye and carefully sketch the pupil, iris, and veins on. Paint them and let dry completely. I made my eye gold and yellow but you can make them any color you want.

Step 4: These Discs Were Made for Stackin'

Now grab your little discs and and glue them together, then let dry. Now grab your black paint and paint a ring around your disc. This helps everything blend together seamlessly.

Step 5: *I See You Gesture*

Now you see me, now you don't! ;)

Grab your eye and glue it onto your disc stack, then glue the whole lot into your bottle cap and let dry.

Step 6: Eye Protection

Don't forget it, no matter what you do! ;)

Paint your eye with another coat of Mod Podge, let it dry, then add a layer of clear acrylic sealer and let dry.

Step 7: Magnetic Eye-traction

Now grab your magnet and paint one side with a layer of clear nail polish and let it dry completely. The clear nail polish prevents magnet residue from getting all on your fridge.

Glue the magnet to the back of your eye and let it dry, then paint the cap (make sure you paint around the magnet) with a layer of Mod Podge and a layer of clear sealer.

Creep people out with your magnets! :D
