DIY Drill Bit

Drill Bits, the more the merrier. Drill Bits can get expensive, so I wanted to attempt to make one.

Step 1: Materials

Drill with stone bit
Rod (Mine was left over from a project)


You don't need the saw, but you will need a way to get you rod smaller.

Step 2: Sizing

I used a lot of muscle and pliers to get the drill bit to size.


I would make the drill bit long, so you can drill a hole in a piece of wood without it getting stuck.

Step 3: Grinding Down

Use your stone bit to grind down one end of the rod.

Step 4: Test

Try it out, hope it works!
