Introduction: DIY PVC LED Landscape SpotLight

Step 1: Heat the Pipe to Be Stretched


Start by cutting 12 in of 2 in PVC pipe in half and the heat one end. you will need an aerosol spray can to stretch the pipe one time. heat the end of the pipe until its soft then stretch it over the top of the can to stretch it a little. next heat it once more and stretch it over the other part of pvc that you just cut.

Step 2: Cut the Pipe to Length of 5 Inches

Using a hack saw or your prefered method cut the pipe to 5 inch

Step 3: Notch the Pipe

using your hack saw cut a notch in the end that was stretched out. about 1/3 of the pipe will need to be removed.

Step 4: Drill and Screw Together

Using a drill but slip the to parts together and drill a hole in the side to accept the screw. repeat this step on the other side

Step 5: Add the Lamp Socket

now get a one gallon jug cap and attach the lamp holder of you choice to the cap using brass or stainless screws.

then drill 2 holes in the PVC and attach the lamp holder to the straight end of the pipe that you did not stretch.

Step 6: Add the Stake for the Ground

Now cut a 3/4 in peace of pipe 12 in long, atach the stake to the base leaving about 8 to 10 sticking out. this will allow you to take the light in the ground.

Step 7: Almost Done

now you should have something that looks like this. using 220 grit sandpaper lightly clean up all the edges and any bad cuts. now you are ready to paint.

Step 8: Finished Product

Here is one picture of the finished product you can make many of these and run them off of a 12 volt power supply. you will need some 18 gauge wire and some weather proof connectors.
