Introduction: DIY Spongebob Corner Bookmark

About: I am a craftaholic person, also an entrepreneur.

Hello Everyone!!!

This is my first writings in Instructables. I chose an DIY projects for my first instructable. Bookmark is a thing which I used regular in my readings. So, I thought to make this thing which I love most and easy to create. I also used a cartoon character.

Bookmarks are a great way to mark your place in a book. They can get expensive too. But I love origami and cif you are comfortable with this, you can try at home.

Supplies

  • Colored craft paper/ Origami paper
  • Pencil
  • Black gel pen
  • Scissors
  • Craft Glue

Step 1: Get Some 6 by 6-inch Paper and Fold Diagonally

Get some 6by 6-inch origami paper. If you don't have origami paper, cut a 6 by 6-inch yellow colored paper. You can also use cardstock paper. You can also use smaller sizes as long as it is still a perfect square, but it will be smaller.

Place the square paper on a flat surface. Fold it towards the opposite corner. Press on the folding side to make it nice and sharp.

Step 2: Fold the Paper Downwards

You will notice that your triangle has two layers of paper. You are only folding one of those layers. Hold any corners and fold it downwards, matching the end of the corner with the border line of the straight side. When your folding are done, your paper should be shaped like a triangle and it will be seemed three triangles.

Step 3: Fold the Bottom Corners of the Triangle Up Towards the Point

Take the left bottom corner and fold it towards the top of the triangle, matching its open end corner with the corner of the top side.

Similarly fold the triangle on the other side.

Step 4: Fold Both Corners Inside of the Triangle

Hold any one of the triangular parts and fold it into half. Tuck the open side of the half fold into the triangular pocket.

Similarly fold and tuck the other side.

Step 5: Cut Down Papers for Decoration

Select colored papers for the decorations.

Here, I selected some papers for the eyes, mouth, tie and dress for the Spongeboo.

If you want some different characters you can also use those type of colors.

Then joining them according to the character you want them and Here is mine.

Step 6: Free Hand Drawing

Now I decorate Spongeboo in an open hand. Draw the dots and eyebrows.

Step 7: Final Image

Here are my bookmarks...

Hope, you all like my first instructable.

Thank you
