Introduction: DIY Washi Tape

About: I am married with two children. Spring, summer, and fall are my very favorite times of the year. I enjoy working in the yard, sewing, cooking, quilting, gardening, and creating. I do this to keep my sanity.
This is an entry for the Copy Cat Challenge. Washi tape is expensive so I decided to make my own. This is a great way to use up fabric and paper scraps. Follow through and I will show you how easy it is to make.
 

Step 1: Supplies

Fabric or paper scraps
Two sided tape
Scotch tape

 

Step 2: Tools

Scissors or pinking shears
Empty Spool
 

Step 3: Trim Fabric or Paper

Trim the paper or cloth wider than the tape, so it can be trimmed after the tape is applied.
 

Step 4: Tape

Center the two sided tape on the wrong side of the paper or cloth.
Press down to stick it to the cloth or paper.

Step 5: Trim

Using the tape as a guide, trim the fabric or paper next to the tape.
Pinking shears give it a different look.

Step 6: Roll on Spool

Tape the end of the fabric strip with Scotch tape.
Roll and stick it to the empty spool.
If you have short strips like I had you can layer the strips.

Step 7: Sunshiine's Final Thoughts
