Introduction: Delicious Snack With Banana Stem

Banana stems contain lot of nutrients and minerals but people do not like to take it due to its taste. Make this delicious snack with them and everybody including kits will love it

Step 1: Ingredients

  • About 6 inches long fresh Banana Stem
  • 100 grams of Black Gram with skin
  • 50 grams of Shallots (Small onions)
  • 2 Green chillies
  • A small piece of Ginger
  • Handful of Coriander leaves
  • 4 Dried red chillies

Step 2: Cut Banana Stem

  • First cut banana stem into round pieces and then into very small pieces
  • Immediately put the cut pieces in to a mixture of curd (yogurt) and water to prevent discoloration

Step 3: Grind Black Gram

  • Soak Black gram in water for about 15 to 20 minutes
  • Drain out water and place the soaked black gram in a mixer-grinder
  • Add the 4 dried red chillies to the mixer and grind to a fine paste

Step 4: Mix All Ingredients

  • Remove banana stem pieces from curd and add them to the grind Black gram
  • Chop shallots, Green chillies, Ginger, Coriander leaves in to small pieces and add to bowl
  • Add salt to taste and mix well with to a thick paste
  • Take lemon sized mix in hand and press to make ball shapes

Step 5: Deep Fry and Serve

  • Heat enough oil in a a pan for deep frying
  • When the oil is heated, lightly flatten the shaped balls and add to oil
  • Turn over in oil for even cooking. Once they are properly fried, take out from oil

Serve the tasteful snack made with Banana Stem with coffee or tea
