• A straight linear edge/metal rule
• Sample or Off-cut rectangle of carpet, (woven , not foam back is preferable)

Step 2: Stage One

Measure the distance between the base of your tin and just under the lip of the inside edge.

Depending on the previous occupation of your tin you might want to clean it with a suitable product.
