Introduction: Dishonored Overseer Mask, 3D Printed

About: Check my stuff out on Youtube, I'm TimeLeaper.

Hello! I'm going to teach you how to build the Overseer mask from Dishonored. The video above is the main instructions but below I will include materials needed to complete the full Overseer Mask.

Step 1: Materials for Making the Mask (Sanding and Painting)

People often ask me where they can go to print and here's some options for you:

  • personal printer (or friends printer)
  • school/university
  • Maker Space (including the different varieties of those type of shops)
  • online (people will do this service for you and ship it to you, fees different from person to person)
  • Tip ~ If the size of the project is too big, use a slicer to fit your printer bed

You will need:

  • Sand paper (different grits of course, I list some of my favorite types in the video. Start somewhere around 100-200 and finish however high you'd like, I finished it at ~360)
  • Denatured Alcohol (to clean before spray painting)
  • Primer spray paint (I have two above that I alternated with)
  • (Optional) XTC-3D (fill in any small holes)
  • Black spray paint (your choice, I used two kinds)
  • Gloves (protect your hands)
  • Gold spray paint
  • Acrylic paint (need black only)
  • Satin clear enamel

Step 2: Materials for the Straps

You will need:

  • Kevlar (any material works for straps, but some might not hold spray paint)
  • Velcro
  • 5 Minute Apoxy (additional things for attaching straps):
    • Popcicle stick (stir)
    • Paper plate (spreads the Apoxy out so it doesn't cure as fast)
    • Foil (on plate, keeps it from soaking into the plate)
  • Paper towel/ news paper under project

Step 3: Materials for the Spandex Hood

You will need:

  • A party suit from Party City or online (get a large or if they have an extra large, get that)
  • Scissors
  • Access to a sewing machine or needle and thread

Step 4: Materials for the Stand

You will need:

  • A Styrofoam head
  • A wooden dowel
  • A wood board (size to your liking)
  • Any type of wood finish

Step 5: Become an Overseer

You're finished! Now you can patrol Lady Boyle's Party!

Thank you! Have fun too!
