Introduction: Dragon Finger Puppet

About: Grandma Van uses the Instructables website to share little print-and-mail books. Once in a while, she has other fun things to share.

The dragon finger puppet goes with the felt castle!

(Just in case you don't happen to have a Lego dragon!)

Step 1: Use the Attached PDF Pattern to Cut Out the Pieces

Step 2: Sew.

Place the different-colored back piece between the two body pieces. Sew from the inner portion of the tail up to the nose.

Cut spikes from the back piece.

(Note: for the first six dragons, I cut the spikes out before inserting and it was much harder to sew!)

Step 3: Sew in the Flame.

If you happen to have red "Bendaroo" waxed fiber, make the flame from two small pieces.

If you have no Bendaroos, cut out a flame from red felt.

Stitch in place.

Step 4: Attach the Belly Piece.

Insert the belly piece. Stitch along one side. Leave the bottom unattached. (I just whip stitch along the bottom rather than ending a thread and restarting on the other side.)

Stitch along the other side.

Step 5: Cut Out Wings and Eyes From Black Felt.

Step 6: Cut a Slit for the Wings.

Step 7: Insert the Wings.

Step 8: Play!
