Introduction: Dream Catcher

How to make a dream catcher

Step 1: Gather All of the Supplies

1. White paper plates

2.Scissors

3. Hole puncher

4.Feathers

5. Yarn

6. Beads

7. Crayons

Step 2: Fold the Paper Plate

Fold the paper plate in half evenly.

Step 3: Cutting the Plate

Use the scissors to cut along the inner circle of the plate until it makes one big circle in the middle.

Step 4: Decorate Your Plate

Use the crayons to decorate the border of the paper plate however you would like.

Step 5: Hole Punch

Use the hole puncher to punch 6 holes evenly around the plate. Make sure to punch the holes from the inside of the plate for a better angle.

Step 6: Weave the Yarn

Cut 5-6 feet of yarn and weave the yarn through the holes however you think your dream catcher should look. Make sure not to pull the strings too tight because the plate will bend.

Step 7: Adding Beads (Optional)

Add a few beads to the yarn as you are weaving them through the holes. As you complete this step push the beads through the holes as you go. The beads can sometimes be difficult to weave through the holes so we made this step optional.

Step 8: Tie a Knot

Tie knots on each end of the strings when you are finished to ensure that it stays in place.

Step 9: Add 3 Additional Holes

Use the hole puncher to add 3 additional holes to the bottom of the plate.

Step 10: Adding 3 More Strings

Cut 3 more strings at any length and tie one in each hole at the bottom of the plate.

Step 11: Add Decorations

Add any additional feathers or beads you want to use to decorate at the end of the yarn.

Step 12: Finished!

Your dream catcher is complete!
