Introduction: Duct Tape Necklace
This necklace is easy to make and you probably have all the materials in your house! It looks really nice and has a beaded look.
Step 1: Get Materials
You will need:
•a mat
•scissors
•straws (I use 3)
•duct tape
•X-acto knife
•string or elastic cord

Step 2: Make the Beads
This step is super easy. Just cut your straws into one inch beads. You can cut as many or as little as you want. Try to keep them as even as possible.
Step 3: Decorate the Beads
Use a mat to help you with these measurements. Lay out a duct tape strip. I had nine beads so my strip was nine inches long. Cut the duct tape so that it's one inch thick with an X-acto knife. Then cut into 1x1 inch squares. Then, wrap the tape squares around the straw beads. Cut off any excess tape or straw. Your beads will most likely not be completely even. If it bugs you, trim them to the same size.
Step 4: Bead the Necklace
Take your string or elastic cord and cut at a good necklace length. Mine was 24 inches. It should be big enough to slide over your head. Now put the beads on and tie.
Step 5: Wear It!
Now you have a really awesome and easy beaded necklace! Hope you find this helpful and make your own!
