Introduction: Duct Tape Pocket Folder

So I needed to get a few folders for my classes this semester, I already had my notebooks and had made a duct tape wallet so I figured I could combine what I needed to hold any handouts I got in class and the leftover duct tape I had.

Step 1: Whatcha Need?

Here’s what you’ll need:

  1. Duct Tape (an alright amount)
  2. Scissors
  3. A Ruler
  4. Notebook

Done.

Step 2: The First Step

The first thing I did was measure my notebooks dimensions, so I could find out how long to cut the tape. For the loops (shown above) I used 14”, 15”, and 16” from top to bottom. 15” worked best I’d say, but anywhere around that should be fine.

Cut the piece of tape...

Then make it into a loop with sticky side on the outside of the loop In the picture above, my fingers are on the non-sticky side.

Repeat twice for a total of, you guessed it, Three of these loops.

Step 3: Second...

From there place one loop on the bottom and progress to the top of the back, inside cover (see above).

Step 4: Third...

Now that we have the pocket made, lets get rid of the sticky side that is left over from our loops as well as make sure that our stuff won’t fall out of the bottom.

Cut an 8” piece of tape, placed it from the top right of the loops you made (the picture will provide clarity). Place pieces on till it wraps around the bottom (sealing the pocket).

Do this until no sticky side left.

Rejoice as you are finished :D!
