Introduction: EZ Bread

About: I like to turn trash into useful treasures. I believe less gives you time for MORE in your life. I love riding motorcycles.

No clean up, no wash up. ENJOY

Step 1: No "tools" Needed. Easy Clean Up, Nothing to Store, Find, Keep Track Of.

1 cup warm water, if you can't keep your finger in it - it is too hot!

1 pk or 1 Tbs yeast

1/4 cup sugar

1/2 cup milk

1/4 cup butter, room temp

1 egg

3 - 4 cups of flour

1 1/2 tsp salt

plastic bag, cup, your hand

take a t-spoon and put some sugar in the palm of your hand. make a mental note of how it fills your hand. You will never need a measuring spoon again. 1 found a 9 oz plastic cup. A cup is 8 ounces so I just took off a little then halved it.

Step 2: No Mess

pour warm water in the bag

add yeast, sugar, butter, milk and egg

let set 5 minutes to proof, once you see some bubbles you can continue

Step 3: Add Remaining Flour and Salt.

add a cup of the flour, mix well

add the salt to the next cup of flour then into the bag and mix

keep adding flour till a soft dough forms

kneed in the bag for 3 minutes or so then let set 30 minutes

Step 4: Pick a Pan, Any "pan"

I like to cook in what ever is around or try something different.

Today I got my steamer, held it closed with a couple METAL paper clips and dropped a blob of dough in it. I also removed the center post. I sprayed it well with cooking spray, let rise till double or until you get tired of waiting and bake at 375 degrees until golden brown.

So after throwing the plastic bag and plastic cup away, I only had the steamer to wash.

You can support the economy and buy lots of stuff to bake with or you can challenge yourself to get by with the fewest "tools". See if anyone can tasted the difference.

I put the second half of the dough in the fridge over night. Today I made some rolls in a cast iron skillet. Add a little hamburger gravy and a perfect dinner.
