Introduction: Easy Melt-in-your-mouth 'Bread Butter Jam Pudding'
Make this easy holiday pudding and enjoy :) .. Merry Christmas ! :)
Ingredients:( for Bread Butter Jam Pudding )
12 - white bread slices ( edges trimmed )
Butter - as needed ( 1 tsp per slice )
Strawberry Jam - as needed ( or any jam )
2 Tbsp - raisin / sultanas ( dark or golden )
For the milk-mixture:
1 cup - milk ( thick milk / full fat )
500 ml - cream
1/3 cup - sugar
1/4 tsp - vanilla bean paste ( or 1 tsp vanilla extract )
Step 1) Get ready with all the ingredients
Step 2) Preheat the Oven to 200 C / 400 F. (You will also need a glass baking dish) ..
Step 3) Make the milk-mixture: Into a bowl, pour the milk, cream, sugar, vanilla and stir.
Step 4) Pour little milk-mixture into the baking dish to coat the bottom..
Step 5) Spread a tsp of butter on a bread slice and arrange ( butter-side facing up ) on the glass dish.
Step 6) Pour half of milk-mixture evenly over the bread ( tilt the glass dish to coat evenly ) ..
Step 7) Spread a tsp of butter and jam on a bread slice and arrange ( jam-side facing down) on the glass dish
Step 8) Cut into squares ..
Step 9) Pour the remaining milk-mixture over the bread slices ..
Step 10) Place a raisin in the centre of the squares ..
Step 11) Bake at 200 C / 400 F until the top turns golden brown .. ( takes 10 - 15 minutes ..)
