    How to lay your watch aside? Cutting the tie off?

    Not particularly attractive. Women could use an attractive ribbon although she would need someone to tie it on her wrist. Perhaps a strip of velcro would work better. It comes in different colors and doesn't require a 2nd pair of hands.
