Use drawer pulls to create unique hooks!

Step 1: Intro

We wanted hooks for our entryway but there were none that really fit the bill for a small and skinny space. Plus, we aren't all that crazy about the aesthetics of coat hooks and/or Command Hooks.

Step 2: Supplies

3 drawer pulls
Hardwood flooring samples
Assorted screws
Hammer
Nails
Screwdriver
Pliers
Extra things we would have found helpful:
Power drill
Jigsaw

Step 3: Assemble the Hooks

Note: We found hardwood samples at Home Depot for free. They have one fatal flaw: they're too thin for a lot of the screws. Maybe using a backing board will alleviate this.

Attach the drawer pulls to the hardwood sample. First, make a hole where you want the pull to go using a nail or with the power drill.
DO NOT pound the nail in so far you can no longer remove it.
The screws for the door pull are blunt, so the holes may need to be widened. Once you are able, screw the drawer pull screws through the back of the sample. Once you can thread the pull, do so and screw in the rest of the way.

Step 4: Attaching to the Wall

Place the assembled pulls in the design that you would like. Pound in finishing nails until the piece is securely on the wall. The screw head is slightly rounded. This may cause some issue.
