Introduction: Fall Candy Corn Pot

The following materials are needed to create your own decorated candy corn pot:

Clay Pot

Acrylic Paint (White, Orange, Yellow)

Varnish

Wood Furniture Button

Paintbrushes

Black Sharpie Marker

Tacky Glue

Orange Felt

Step 1:

Paint the entire pot, inside and out, with white paint. After you completely painted the pot, allow an adequate amount of time for the paint to dry. After the paint dries completely, paint an additional coat of white on the rim of the pot only. Let paint dry.

Step 2:

Paint from the rim to the middle of the pot with orange paint. Allow adequate time for paint to dry.

Step 3:

Paint from the bottom of the orange stripe to the bottom of the pot with yellow paint. Allow adequate time for paint to dry.

Step 4:

Paint the furniture button with yellow paint. Allow paint to dry.

Step 5:

Mix a small amount of orange and white paint to make a light orange color paint. Use the stencil brush to tap the light orange color that you mixed onto the orange stripe for cheeks.

Step 6:

Use the liner brush and the white paint to paint a comma shape on one side of the yellow button.

Step 7:

When the paint is completely dry, draw small circles and a squigley smile onto the pot with the black Sharpie marker.

Step 8:

You may apply varnish to the inside of the pot. Let varnish dry.

Step 9:

Glue both the button on the front of the pot as a nose and glue the felt pad on the bottom.
