3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
1/2 cup softened butter
2/3 cup milk
Step 2: Start Mixing
First, mix the flour and baking powder together.

Sprinkle flour on the surface of counter. Push the dough into a big ball and sprinkle flour on top. Gently knead the ball of dough (or "fluff" like Grandma says). Do not knead like regular bread dough. Roll the dough out until it is about 1/2"- 3/4" thick. Cut the biscuits out with a biscuit cutter or cookie cutter.
Step 6: Baking
Place the biscuits on the pan, make sure biscuits are touching. Bake the biscuits at 450 degrees for 12 - 16 minutes, or until the bottoms are lightly browned. Enjoy with butter and jelly or honey.
