Introduction: Greeting Cards, One Sheet Wonder
Make 14 greeting cards using one sheet of 12 X 12 scrap-booking paper!
Step 1: Supplies
Supplies you will need: One sheet of 12 X 12 scrapbook paper (double sided optional)
Card stock card bases 8.5 in X 5.5 inches, folded in half (these may be purchased or cut from plain colored card stock of your choosing)
Paper cutter
Glue or two-sided tape of your choice (I used a basic acid free glue stick)
Stamps or decorations of your choice, scraps of paper, ribbons, buttons, etc.
Step 2: Patterns
Print or photograph these two patterns to use in your project.
Step 3: Cut
Then, following the pattern, cut your paper into pieces as directed by the pattern measurements.
Step 4: Label
Label your pieces by number with sticky notes according to the card pattern paper.
Step 5: Attach
Starting with card #1, use your adhesive to attach the scrapbook paper to the card as shown in the picture pattern.
Step 6: Make Adjustments As Needed
Card # 6 is different on the cutting pattern than in the picture pattern. The paper piece is larger. You may cut it down to size, or keep it larger. I chose to cut it into three pieces and turn two over to the contrasting side. I also turned it on it's side so I had room to stamp a greeting.
Step 7: More Adjustments
Card # 5-the scrap-book paper piece was wider than in the picture
Card #9-I turned the paper the other way
Card #10-I reversed the paper and turned the card on it's side
The only rule here is "be creative"! The pattern is just a guide!
Step 8: Decorate 1-5
Using your stamps, stickers, ribbons, contrast paper, buttons, or other decorations, create cards that you will enjoy giving away!
Step 9: Decorate Cards 6-9
Embellish as you like.
Step 10: Decorate Cards 10-14
Have fun with it!
