Introduction: Grooming Your Dog
Pets are the best companions, so it is important that they get the best care. My video will show you how to properly groom your dog from your own home.
Step 1: Gather Supplies
Tools you will need:
- Dog soap
- Brush (sizes vary by hair length)
- Old towel
- Small washcloth
- Pet cologne (optional)
Step 2: Brush Dog
You will brush your dog for 10-15 minutes before bathing them. This will collect any loose fur and dirt.
Step 3: Rinse
Thoroughly rinse your dog using a detachable shower hose, cup, or whatever you have readily available. Cover their lower neck, stomach, and bottom. Avoid getting their head/face wet.
Step 4: Lather Soap
Scrub your dog with proper soap for approximately 15-20 minutes. This allows the soap the penetrate your dog's fur and clean their skin.
Step 5: Wash Face
Dampen the small washcloth with water. Do not mix with any soap. Gently rub the washcloth around the face and under the eyes.
Step 6: Rinse
Step 7: Towel-dry
Step 8: Brush Again
After allowing your dog to completely dry, brush your dog once more for approximately five minutes to collect any fur that came out during the bath.
