Introduction: Hot Glue Charms!

About: I'm a 14 year old boy from India. I love making things and am an avid reader. I make instructables for you all to learn something new and useful!

Hey makers! Today I'm going to show you how to make these adorable charms using hot glue and glitter!

I made these for my sister's birthday and she absolutely loved it! These are very easy to make and takes around 5-10 minutes to make.

Step 1: Materials/Tools

You will need :

  • A hot glue gun (with glue sticks)
  • Glitter
  • A pencil
  • Scissors
  • Few sheets of paper
  • String
  • Small piece of wire/eyepin

If you want, you could also use stickers.

Step 2: Preparing the Charm

I made a drawing of a panda, which I would use in my charm. I then cut it out. (You can also use stickers instead)

On a piece of paper, draw a circle large enough for the panda to fit in. This would be a guide for applying the hot glue.

Step 3: Making the Charm

Starting from the center, apply the hot glue. Do not worry if the hot glue looks messy or gets piled up, it will soon become flat. It is also a good idea to make an outline of the circle using hot glue, then apply the glue inside.

While the glue is sticky, apply glitter of your choice. You can use many different colors to make cool patterns and designs. This part is really up to you.

After applying the glitter, stick the panda (or sticker) in the middle.

I took a small piece of wire and bent it, to make a small hook. I stuck in the top of the charm.

Make sure that you do this fast enough, before the glue dries out.

Step 4: Finishing It Up

Using a pair of scissors, cut the paper around the charm. Remove the charm and tie a string through the hook (or eyepin). That's it!

Step 5: All Done!

That's it! Now you can make many more charms, with different designs. These make for good gifts and add a little style to your bags.

You can also make rings in the same way. Just attach a ring base at the bottom, and you're good to go!
