This instructable will show you how to make rupees from the Legend of Zelda series out of hot glue, paint and a few other common resources.

Step 1: What You Will Need

You will need:
Masking tape NOT DUCT TAPE (apparently WD-40 melt the glue on duct tape, or so i found out)
A ruler
Scissors
A glue stick
A hot glue gun
Hot glue sticks (4-6)
WD-40 or another spray on lubricant
Paint
A paint brush
Thin plastic sheeting (I got mine from a box of a figurine)
A printer
A Stanley knife or pen knife
A template for your mold

Optional:
A freezer

Step 2: Making the Mold

Step 1:
Print out the template for the rupee, and cut it out as pictured.

Step 2:
Using your gluestick, stick the cutout paper template onto your plastic sheet.

Step 3:
Cut out the plastic template.

Step 4:
Using the edge of a ruler, bend the plastic along the black lines. It should finish up looking like picture 5.

Step 5:
Remove the paper from the plastic, make sure not to leave any residue or your rupee may stick to the mold when you get to filling it.

Step 6:
Using small strips of masking tape join the edges together to give you two joined halves of the mold as shown in the picture. After you have taped all of the joint in place, strengthen it with another layer of masking tape.

Step 7:
Using a stanly knife or your scissors to make a hole in the top of the mold just big enough for the tip of your hot glue gun.

Step 8:
Using WD-40 lightly spray your mold, but try not to get any on the outside of the mold.

Step 9:
Using more masking tape seal up the mold securely.

You have now finished the mold part of this instructable!

Step 3: Filling the Mold

Step 1:
Turn on your hot glue gun and let it get to max heat, the runnier your glue the better it will flow into the mold.

Step 2:
Insert the tip of your hot glue gun into the mold and start pumping. (this step will take a while)

Step 3:
Fill the mold until it overflows slightly. (As the glue cools it will contract and suck the overflow back in)

Step 4: (OPTIONAL)
Put the mold into the freezer to cool it quicker.

Step 4: Finishing Off

Make sure that your hot glue has cooled down and set.

Step 1:
Using a Stanley knife, cut the masking tape along the join, and peel it away.

Step 2:
peel off the plastic mold from your rupee. (as seen in picture 3)

Step 3:
using your Stanley knife trim off any excess glue, and neaten up the rupee.

Step 4: Choose a colour to paint your rupee and ready your brush.

Step 5:
Give your rupee a coat of paint, and your all done, enjoy your hot glue rupee!!
