This tutorial is for faux mini book charms. They look like miniature books, but don't really open.

Step 1: Supplies Needed

Piece of leather 1 1/2" x 2 3/4"
Yarn or string of your choice
Two pages from an old book
Mod Podge
Paint Brush
Mini key charm
Jump ring
Small hole punch
Scissors

Step 2: Make Your Mini Pages

First cut your mini book pages a little bit smaller than the actual book size.

Step 3: Putting Pages Together

Apply Mod Podge to the first page and stack another on top.

Step 4: Stacking Pages

Continue stacking and gluing pages together.

Step 5: Page Thickness

Repeat step 4 until you get your mini book to the thickness that you desire.

Step 6: Punch Hole

Punch the hole for your jump ring.

Step 7: Added the Leather Cover

Add Mod Podge to both sides of your page stack and to the edge that will be your binding. Center page stack on your leather, and close the leather book. Sit something on top of it to hold it close while it dries, 30 minutes or so.

Step 8: Putting Book Together

Now it's time to start putting your mini book together.

Step 9: Jump Ring

Add your jump ring to the hole that you punched earlier.

Step 10: Adding the Charm

Run your yarn through the jump ring just to hold it on so that it won't slide off. Then add your key charm and wrap the yarn around the mini book a couple times.

Step 11: Securing the Charm

Tie a knot in the yarn, and trim the ends. Make sure your charm is on the front of your mini book.

Step 12: Book Charm Pendants

These are easy faux mini book charm pendants that make's for a really cute necklace, or used as purse charm, etc.
