Step 1: Finger Placement
Finger placement
2 fingers : middle finger flat on kicktail, index finger on the middle of the deck.
3 fingers: ring finger on the kicktail, middle finger about the middle of the deck, and index finger on the fron bolts of the deck
2 fingers : middle finger flat on kicktail, index finger on the middle of the deck.

Step 2: Popping the Board
To " pop" the board, you will put pressure on the kicktail. This part of the trick makes the board go into the air.
Step 3: Slide/jump
To make the board actually go into the air flying, you must slide your index finger to the front side of the board to level it out in the air.
3 fingers: after you pop the board, apply enough pressure with your index finger to level out the board, leave your middle finger where its at.

Step 4: Practice
A great way to learn a ollie is to practice on the side of your leg. Like the following photo.
