In this Instructable, I will show you how to create an outdoor insect hotel using the Yakeba construction set. Check out these 10 simple steps to make one of your own, and watch the video for more detailed instructions. Scroll down for video.

Step 1: Materials

wood
screws
wood glue
wooden blocks
nails
hammer
sheet metal

Step 2: Housing

First, screw one side to the floor piece.

Step 3: Housing

Put some glue into the rear panel groove, insert the rear panel and screw on the second side.

Step 4: Housing

Screw the two halves of the roof with the groove and fix them on the housing with the short screws. Countersink the screws well.

Step 5: Filling

Place the housing with the opening facing upwards. Place wooden blocks without glue for testing.

Step 6: Filling

Empty the housing. Apply the glue on the inside of the back wall and on the back of the wooden blocks. Do not apply glue to the sides! Insert the wooden blocks with the hole facing upwards and press down. Press parts together as long as the glue is moist.
