Hello everyone 🙂 In this project we're going to show you how to make beautiful greeting cards with paper, using a Cricut Maker machine. You can make these beautiful greeting card for birthday, anniversary, mother's day, father's day, valentine's day or any other occasion.

One of the most common things we give to our loved ones on special occasions is cards. Even though Valentine's day passed long time ago, that doesn't mean you can't make a beautiful card for your other half in order to show them how much you love them. Love should be celebrated all year around.

Moms are role models, they are the reason we flourished to the people we are today and giving our moms DIY beautiful cards are the best gift. They'll appreciate it more than an expensive present. These cards are very simple to make as it does not require excess material just some colored card paper and regular design paper! Follow our tutorial to create the most beautiful mother's day card!

Anyway, You can give these beautiful cards to your parents, friends, loved ones and all family members! :)

Step 1: I Made a Video Tutorial on How to Make These Beautiful Cards!

For some people it's easier to watch a video than following step by step photos :)

So if you are one of them I hope that this video will help you !

Step 2: Cut the Base for the Cards.

Cut the base for the cards using the Cricut Maker machine.

You can use the designs I've created free of charge :)

The base: https://design.cricut.com/landing/project-detail/...

This particular page was ruined by my cricut as you can see in the last picture :D My fault though, as I've set the machine on to much pressure ( we live and learn! ).

Step 3: You Can Use Any Colours You'd Like Btw.

I was making more cards for an Explosion Box order that I had from Etsy.

Step 4: Cut the Design Paper.

Design Paper: https://design.cricut.com/landing/project-detail/...

Make sure your cutting mat it's sticky enough. I've ruined some paper while I was doing these cards :( You can see in the pictures one of the unfortunate scenarios :D

Tip:I've washed my cutting mat with some warm water and soap and after it worked just fine.

Step 5: Fold the Coloured Cardstock.

  • Gather your supplies in one place.
  • Fold the card along the scoring lines you've got from the cricut machine.

Step 6: Preparing the Design Paper.

  • Fold the circles in half.
  • Cut them in two with a cutter.

Oh...no! If you seen the video, my cutter let me down as well :D

Step 7: Cutting the Other Circle With an Excel Knife.

No worries :) I've got my Excel Knife which works smoothly! I love them blades :)

Step 8: Stick the Design Paper on the Base.

You can use pva glue as I've used in this particular case or if you want an easier way, use adhesive rollers ( see the tools and supplies section ).

Step 9: Add a Picture or a Message.

I've used an adhesive roller to stick the picture but you can use what kind off glue you want ( don't use liquid glue ).

Step 10: Final Touches.

Add some embellishments to make it prettier. I've added a little message and a button on top.

Step 11: Congrats! Your Card Is Ready :)

Everyone has a lot of paper at home but few of us know that paper is a source of never-ending fun and creativity.

Feel free to ask us any questions you'd like below and check out the video as well.
