Introduction: How to Make Decorative Magnets

WARNING: Be careful when using the hot glue gun. Hot glue guns can get really hot and you could burn yourself.

Step 1: Gather Supplies

Gather glass marble gems, magnets, mod podge, a paint brush, a pen or pencil, a hot glue gun, hot glue sticks, scissors, and a preferred paper design.

Step 2: Heat Hot Glue Gun

Put hot glue stick or sticks into your hot glue gun and plug in hot glue gun to an outlet in order for it to gain heat.

Step 3: Trace

Trace one of your glass marble gems onto your preferred paper design with your pen or pencil.

Step 4: Cut

Cut the circle shape out of your paper using your scissors.

Step 5: Apply Mod Podge

Apply mod podge with your paint brush onto the back/flat side of the glass marble gem.

Step 6: Place Paper on Marble

Place your circular cut out paper design face up from step 4 onto the back/flat side of the glass marble gem.

Step 7: Apply Mod Podge Again

Add a second layer of mod podge over the paper on the back/flat side of the glass marble gem as you did in step 5.

Step 8: Let Dry

Let the mod podge dry.

Step 9: Attach Magnet to Marble

Use your heated hot glue gun from step 2 to glue and attach the magnet onto the back/flat side of the glass marble gem with your paper and mod podge already applied and dried from steps 7 and 8.

Step 10: Let Dry

Allow the hot glue to dry and repeat steps 3-9 for other glass marble gems. Place your new decorative magnets onto your desired magnetic surface!
