Introduction: 12 Volt Battery Charge

Step 1: Removing the Cover

Take the replaced battery and open its cover with the help of a screw driver or whatever you find comfortable.

Step 2: Removing the Inside Caps

These batteries are made up of six cells combined in series. Below the cover you will find six caps there. Remove all the caps out and pierce them to let allow passing the air/vapor out.

Step 3: Filling the Distill Water

Fill the distill water in all wholes equally. You have to use a normal distill water for this. You can buy this normal battery distill water from any phenol or acid sellers.

Step 4: Confirming the Battery Status

After filling the distill water (do not fill the holes full, fill each of the holes 70-80% only) refit all the pierced caps like before. By following these steps you can recharge even a fully dead battery like this.

Step 5: Current Required for Charging the Battery

To charge this battery, you need a power supply range between 13 to 15 volt and its current should be 1.5 ampere or more

Step 6: Connect the Charger to the Battery

Now connect the battery to the charger with the above mentioned power supply ratings.

Step 7: Battery Is Charged Now

To charge it properly you need to feed the above mentioned power supply for more than 5 hours. For some reasons I could charge it only for 3:15 hours. After charging if preforms like a new battery.

Step 8: Back Up Test

After charging it, I recorded a live back up test of this battery to know its real backup time.

I recorded the bulb's light intensity for five seconds after every ten minutes difference. I started the back up test at 3:00pm. After then notice the difference after every 10 minute delay.

Step 20: Finally the Over All Back Up Result Is Positive.

Now it is proved that for first 50 minutes the bulbs light intensity was very good. After that it goes poorer. One thing should be noticed here, that the bulb I used was an incandescent (having filament) bulb. If we use LEDs in place of this bulb then we can increase this back up just double or even more.
